The United States Jiu Jitsu Alliance was founded in 2002 by Shihan, Jay Sandlin. Mr. Sandlin holds numerous black belt ranks.

The alliance was developed to grow by adding as many members as possible and help to create a jiu jitsu community within the martial arts world.
