My biological father being a boxer, I began boxing at the age of four in 1963.  I knew how to cover weave and

 bop even before I knew what I was doing.  There was not much fancy footwork in those days, so the original style

I learned was a very solid foundation Rocky Marciano style, with little of the boxing finesse we see these days,

 and I learned later.  I spent most of my youth boxing and found an Aikido school when I was ten years old in

an old house, and later at the University of West Florida.  We were made fun of.  Remember that to other martial

artists it looked as though we were dancing and they called it non-effective, many many years before anyone

ever heard of Steven Seagal.  I spent many years in Aikido and had the honor of studying with two Uchi Deshi's

of the founder of Aikido Morei Ueshiba who were Gakku Homma, Sensei who owns the largest Aiki dojo in the

 world, and lived with the founder for the last fifteen years of his life, and also Mitsugi Saotome, Sensei who is the

Shihan for the Aikido Schools of Ueshiba and lived with the founder during the first dozen or more years of the

 Aikido system being brought into existence, so I saw the rough very hard part and the opposite softer part of

Aikido.  I injured my knee and during rehab, I decided to take up Moo Duk Kwan Tang Soo Do and I studied it

 under a number of Sensei's but back and forth from my own dojo's to the late great Dr. James Christian Sensei

 of Shelby State University in Memphis, Tennessee.  I was able to study many styles under him, as well as continue

 the Arnis stick fighting and Knife fighting styles I learned while living in the Philippines in the Mid 1970's.  I was

blessed through the years to work with some of the greatest names in the world.  I have been blessed to have

 founded with Dr. Christian the Koreja Do Christian Martial Arts Association in 1988 and we are thousands strong

now, but we have a personal relationship with each instructor.  We have a large prayer chain, and are in many

 countries.  We have special certificates which we send to those who are Christians but live in other communities

such as the mid-east to keep them and their families from being tormented.  All of our net monies are donated

to charity, and we intend to keep it that way.  I am thankful in 2003 to have been inducted into the World Karate

 Union Hall of Fame which I believe is now the largest now on five continents for the best Martial arts organization

 of 2003 and again in 2005 for Humanitarian of the year.  And God has given me this year another artifact to bring

people of the world into the dojo to hear about Christ.  The coveted Diamond award which is not given out evey

year but was offered to me this year at the Florida Martial Arts Hall of Fame.  I am the only person who has won this

award who is not a millionaire which tells me that God had a hand in this one.  It will all be

given to his Glory in the future, and I am certain he had a plan.  This is not a reflection on me but a reflection on the core

meaning and mandate of the entire Koreja Do Christian Martial Arts Organization.  I am thankful for the

satisfaction I have had, and the people I have studied under.  And am thankful to God for my body still being in

one piece even though much of it is pins and needles.  Every day is a challenge and I use my certifications in

three governments now to bring children and adults and welcome them into our organization.  Christian or not,

 Black, white or brown, but they will hear Christian doctrine, and they will get prayed for daily.  I have a great

staff.  Former and current World Champions who love and are committed to Koreja Do.  We are blessed by being

surrounded by people who feel towards us as we do towards them.  My life has been a blessing.  With the Lord I

 have beaten inoperable cancer, and in 2002 a diving chamber accident which left me paralyzed on my right

side, yet I am still teaching.  You can't stop old guys like me I guess.  God Bless all of you in abundance.
